Book a Workshop - My place or yours!

Does the idea of cleaning your house and prepping to have a workshop in your home keep you from doing it?  Well, than schedule your workshop for my house.  I have a great room with huge table to spread out on and everyone has a great time making 2-3 projects.  Here is a project from a recent workshop at my house.

The Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper is what makes this card.  Both of these sheets are flocked so the black is fuzzy and textured.  When you add all the little layers for the focal point it is just yummy!  The designer series frame is really becoming one of my favories  I love the dots all around!  The little scalloops you see peeking out is the edge of the scalloped ribbon!  The little touch of peach parfait with the First Edition Designer Series Paper  just gave it a pop!

When you book a workshop with me I do 2-3 projects, you can request certain cards and while I don't promise, I will do my best.  You can do it at my house or yours.  I have baskets of samples and a ton of stuff in my studio that makes most people want to take advantage of that!  Remember now until December 15 you get Extra Hostess Dollars!

As I said, the hostess requested the one card and I came up with a couple of others.  This is one of them.  The Big Shot Designer Frames folder is so wonderful and the inside fits the wide oval punch perfectly.

Stampin' Up! Workshops

I love doing workshops!   When I first started as a Stampin' Demonstrator all we did was workshops.  I would go to a hostesses home, show her guests what you could do with rubber stamps, let them do a make & take and it was great watching them get excited.  I started as a Stampin' Demonstrator as a way to get out and talk to adults.  The hostess earns free product  and special hostess only product based on sales and bookings. Now I don't do as many but I do love them.  Many of my hostesses now choose to have them at my house.  They love coming to my craft room.

Recently I had a group of ladies over to my house.  They schedule a workshop about 3 times a year and take turns being hostess.  They bring a couple of new friends each time, many of those guests have become customers as well.  They bring tea and a treat to share.  They each get to make three projects.  Since this group has been stamping for awhile I can do projects that are a little more complicated.  They are usually very specific in their requests. I love this it makes my planning so much easier!  This last time these were the projects they made.  They had asked for something with the sweet treat cups. They had seen the other two cards on my blog and wanted to make them.  

The card on the right was the one on the blog.  These ladies keep telling me not to show them Big Shot stuff - They don't want to be tempted.  But they picked the card and how else do you make the cute little scalloped heart?  I did change the background to include the scallop punch instead of the big shot.  They loved the bird punch and of course everyone had to have one!  I added the bridesmaid paper to the card we did just as a little change!

So why not get your friends together and have a workshop?  I am sure you can come up with somethings you NEED (want?)
