This is the card that I made for the INKERBELLES! Directs Dinner Swap at the Stampin' Up! Convention this past July!  At the 2 major events that Stampin' Up! holds for Demonstrators I host a dinner for my directs who attend.  It is a lot of fun seeing everyone together.  My directs are in about 10 different states so some of these ladies only see each other at these events.    This card was inspired by the card on page 183 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog 2011-2012.  I loved the idea of hanging a trinket inside the sweet treat cups!  I combined it with the Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper.  One of the rules of the swap is that we have to use something new from the catalog.  Notice the little mini silver brads.  They are really tiny but add a great bang.  Here are some close ups.

 

To get the trinket inside the sweet treat cup you use a cropadile to punch a hole in the edge of the cup and thread the ribbon down through the hole, through the trinket and back out the hole and tie a knot.  Way easy for a cool look.  And don't forget you need a padded envelope to mail this card!

One More Sweet Treat - Blog Candy!

 

Here is one more sample (for now!) with the sweet treat cups.  It is hard to see in the picture but I used to little cups for this ornament.  I cut out the printed snowflake window sheets from the Holiday Mini with the Big Shot scalloped cicle.  Then attached snowflake in the middle.  The snowflake I used the Stampin' Up! Merry details sizzlit and shimmer paper.  With a mini glue dot I stuck it as close to the middle of the window sheet as I could.  Then I put a medium  half pearl from the pretties.  I attached the treat cups over this and using sticky tape around the edge I added chunky glitter.  WOW!  the dangly is using the hat pin and beads from the pretties.  Actually very simple but a fun ornament it would be great for an ornament exchange.

More Sweets!

 

This card was made by my swapping buddy Chari B.  She used the little cups to create a 3-d effect and filled the cup with silver tinsel.  I love the simplicity but added effect to the card.

 

Here is one that I made.  I used rub-ons and put a snowflake on the little cup.  Inside I put a mint.  The snowflakes I stamped with the silver shimmer paint from the Holiday Mini.

Sweet Treats Blog Candy

 

This sweet card is made using the Sweet Centers Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini.

Look how fun these are!  These little cups in the Holiday Mini are just too fun to use.  This card is one of the ones we made at club this past month.  The trick is that we made a little sliding door so the candies come out without destroying the card.

 

The sliding door is actually way easy.  Everyone was surprised how easy it was. 

I am having a class on September 23 morning and evening where we will make 3-4 projects using the  little cups in a variety of ways.  Over the next couple of days I will post some samples using the Sweet Treats Cups.  The class will not necessarily make the exact projects but something similar! 

EEK! Sweet Centers

 Here is another project using the Sweet Treat Cups in the Holiday Mini  THis is one of the projects Elizabeth P. prepared for our Demonstrator get together.  To create the variegated color we inked the image in pumpkin pie and then sponged on some perfect plum.  Made for a nice effect.  These little cups are just way too much fun.  Don't forget that I am having a class where we will be making projects using these little cuties.

Who is Spencer you are probably asking?  Spencer is my daughter Liz's boyfriend.

 

Aren't they cute?  I have to say I am pretty lucky I like Liz's boyfriend and Chris' girlfriend, Emily.  The reason I am posting Spencer's Birthday card is because Liz told me he was excited to see what I would send him.  When he came to visit he was so cute about my studio.  He kind of felt funny about coming in when Liz and I were working on stuff because he said it was kind of a girl space.  But we convinced him we liked having non-stampers sit with us while we work and he could turn the TV to what ever he wanted.  We were working on a Graduation Card for my niece and made a cute spinner card in her school colors for high school.  She was graduating Middle School.  I felt like the pressure was on to create a good card.  I realize it isn't the most super manly card but it is pretty cool.  The little Sweet treats from the Holiday Miniare toooooo much fun.  The hard thing is to get the candy out you have to rip the card apart.  I found a way to do a little slider on the web and modified it.  So if Spencer pulls down on the little buttons a strip comes down and he can get at the candy without destroying the card.
