This is a great card using the Proud Peacock set made by Liz P.  The paper is retired from last years 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Super Simple Cards

These simple no layer cards are quick and easy to make with our notecards and envelopes.  They are my favorite for a quick stack of cards.  Each month I send cards to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators in my downline who are in the top sales and recruiting in my downline.  I stamp a quick card. usually with no layers, that hopefully they could use as a make & take idea.  These cards were made with 2 stamp sets from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog, Flower Fest and Happy Greetings.  Flower Fest did make it into the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & catalog, but Happy Greetings did not - so you only have until August 31st to get it and it is a good one.

Summer Mini - Almost gone!

The Stampin' Up! Summer Mini ends August 31!  A number of items in the Summer Mini will no longer be around so be sure to double check your wish list. In the meantime here are a couple of cards from the Summer Mini.

Julie B. made this great card! I love how she leached the sails of the boat they look so cool on the crumb cake.

Elizabeth P. used this great set - Proud Peacock.  THe way she used the colored embossing powders is awesome.  Wild Wasabit cardstock layer looks like Designer Series Paper in the picture but it is really the flower from the stamp set stamped in white.  Love it!

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator FUN!

Yep, it is fun to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!  Find out how much fun at my next local group get together for the INKERBELLES! This is from the stamp set Open Sea and uses pieces from the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper (yes, you can get this as part of the Buy 3 Get 1 free promotion!) It also uses are notecard and envelope packages which are great to make quick simple cards with.

Playful Polka Dots Card Stack Class

Summer Mini is still here!

I know with all the excitement about the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog we tend to overlook the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini.  BUT you want to make sure you don't miss out on some of the items that didn't make it into the Big book and will be gone at the end of August.

The Open Sea stamp Set and the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper are just a couple of the great offerings that will be gone.  Kaylene M. made these great cards for our Summer Mini Swap.  I love the lattice Embossed background using the Big Shot embossing folder it goes so well with the look of the card.

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Get Together

Yes, I have finally set the date!  August 20th is the next INKERBELLES! Group Get Together.  This is for all my downline who are able to come to my home in Walnut Creek, CA!  We have a great day doing make & takes, sharing ideas, a short business meeting where we recognize achievements.  At this meeting I have asked those that attended the Stampin' Up! Convention to share their favorite thing!  I can't wait to see what these are.

These are a couple of the cards we made at the last INKERBELLES! Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Get Together.  I usually focus on the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogs so for  August we will be using mostly the Holiday Mini!  These cards use the Flower Fest Stamp Set!  So quick and easy.  The card on the left is a simple no layer card made on our notecards that come with envelopes!  Cute and simple.  The one on the right is made by using the coordinating Fancy Flower punch.  Happy cards.  I love the sentiment!  It is from the set Happy Greetings which is in the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini and did not make it into the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. LOVE the new 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog

Yep, it is awesome.  You would think after nearly twenty years as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator it wouldn't be exciting.  But every year it is the same.  Life stops for a few hours while I pour over the new catalog page by page, talk with with fellow demonstrators about the samples.  Ok, I know I am teasing you - customers aren't supposed to get hold of the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog until July 1st.  But I can share samples of things available in the Demonstrator Sneak Peak Pre-Order, so check back in the next few days and I will share some with you - first I have to get projects ready for Simply Stamp Time on Monday and Tuesday.

This adorable sample Julie B. made for our Summer Mini swap.  I love the sweetness of the sample.  The texture plate that Julie used is part of the Texture Plates Kit #4 that is retiring so be sure to get it now!  To find out all the Retiring Merchandise Lists.

On the Grow

This card is just so springy and happy.  I used the On the Grow stamp set from the Summer Mini. This stamp set is one that really calls for watercoloring but I am not a very good watercolorer (is that a word?) but I thought this worked well.  I the love the multiple layers of Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper.  I used the Terrific Trims Xlong Die to cut it and the best part is you can cut 5 layers of paper at a time!

I am just loving the white baker's twine (summer mini) it just looks so much brighter than the linen thread.

Here is another card from the On the Grow stamp set.  I think it has quite a Parisian look.  The Love Letters Designer Series Paper and Riding Hood Red is so dramatic.  I loved the striped grosgrain ribbon but it was too wide so I cut it in half.  The little crown just added that touch of dimension.  The scalloped square is using the Squarez Duo (summer mini).

This card is made with the Pretty Postage Stamp set and coordinating postage stamp punch.  I think the bright colors make it such a happy card.

Simply Stamp Time!

It is that time again!  Simply Stamp Time is this next Monday and Tuesday, June 6, 6:30 PM and June 7 10:00 AM.

This is one of  the cards we made in May.  It uses the new stamp set Fabulous Florets from the Summer Mini.  The Designer Series Paper Beyond the garden coordinates with it so well.  I love the colors of Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi.  The embossintg folder Flower Garden (Summer Mini) adds a great texture. 

This is a card that Elizabeth Price made for our Summer Mini swap.

I just love the circle and scallop detail.  I am thinking we might do a card something like this at Simply Stamp Time in June!

Pretty Polka Dot Frame

Well, pretty frame but  not Polka Dot!  That is just the name of the Simply Scrappin' Kit I used on the Bulky frame.

If you have been reading my blog you will know I have been making these seasonal frames for my front entry.  My husband complained that it was past Valentines why didn't we have a new one?  I guess I should be glad he noticed.  So, I quickly ( And I mean quickly less than 30 minutes start to finish!) made this happy frame.  I used the Pretty Polka Dot Simply Scrappin' Kit in the Summer Mini.  Here are some close ups.  Click on the images and you will see a larger view!

The only adhesive I needed was for the words SPRING which I cut using my Big Shot alphabet.  The Designer Series paper in the kit was a little thin so I glued it to a piece of the rose red and then cut them out.  I didn't quite want chipboard.  I used a few dimensionals to keeped popped up.  Of course I had to add some bling.  The words on the little flags are from the word stamp set Fabulous Phrases.  Make one!

Simply Stamp Time

Simply Stamp Time is Monday, June 6 at 6:30 PM and Tuesday, June 7 at 10:00 AM.  This is one of our projects from last month.

This is a fun easy cut to do.  We used the Strength & Hope stamp set from the Summer Mini, all in shades of pink - pretty in pink and melon mambo.  The H is stamped on the punched shape of the petal card.  The printed Pretty In Pink paper is from the Designers Series Paper Pack in Subtles.  A real fun and pretty card. Here are a couple of close-ups.

Another one of the cards we made in June, was made by Julie B. for our Summer Mini swap.

Isn't this just lovely?  The printed pattern paper is from the Designer Series Paper Pack but in the Regals color group.  The stamp set is Pretty Postage (summer mini) with the new Postage Punch.

Flower Fest and Punches

Cherie M. made this card for our Summer Mini swap.  The stamp set is Flower Fest and all the flowers in the stamp set match one of our punches. I love how she used the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper (Summer Mini) with the set.  I would never have thought of that and looks so cool.  The belly band around the card is really clever and when you see how it folds, it is just way too cool.

Isn't this cool?  It gives you all kinds of room to write a note!  I love how she ran the folded over piece of whisper white through the embossing folder to give a little texture to paper.  Just love this card and idea!  Way to go Cherie!

On the Grow!

This is one of the swaps I made with the Summer Mini stamp set On the Grow.  It is a cute little set which required me to bring in a little watercoloring on the samples! I stamped the background with the sanded background stamp that I have recently fallen in love with!  The little rick rack is from the Trims Big Shot die. I like the little button and brad with the cool bakers twine (Summer Mini) detail I added.

Cool new Punches!

This is one of the cards we made at Simply Stamp Time this past week. My friend Dawn shared it with me and I just the love the bright happy colors.   The cool flowers are made with our new triple flowers punch from the Summer Mini.  The punch has three different settings so you can punch a variety of different thins.  My friend and downline Liz P. made a very cool card with this punch.

One more month done!  It was so much fun!  Next month is Monday, June 6 at 6:30 PM and Tuesday, June 7 at 10:00 AM.  There is no evening session, as I am leaving for my nephew's middle school graduation.

This is the card that Liz P. made for our Summer Mini swap.  The stamp set is Proud Peacock.  I love how Liz combined it with the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper.  I love the little clipwith the hi and circles!  Great job Liz.

On the grow!

This is one of the cards I made for our Summer Mini Catalog swap.  Now, I am not usually the watercolor type but this set required some whether I liked it or not.  I stamped the little mason jar with flowers on a piece of the wood that I cut out with the big shot circle.  I used stayz on so it would resist the watercolor.  I just lightly colored the flowers and leaves and jar.  Then i put some crystal effects on the jar in a couple of layers.  It looks really cool!  As you can see I am SOOOOO Happy that the First Edition Designer Series Paper has been carried over!

Stampin Up! Demonstrator Get Together Tomorrow! What Fun!

These two projects are from product in the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini.  Be sure to double check that you have everything you want from it - it ends on Tuesday, August 31.  These were two projects from our last Demonstrator Get Together for the Inkerbelles! group.

That is way I missed a few posts this week.  I have been busy getting ready for my local Demonstrator Get Together tomorrow!  THese are so much fun.  With all the travel I have been doing this summer it has been crazy but I am really looking forward to tomorrow.  I have some great projects planned for them along with a couple from Elizabeth P. We have 10 make & takes for everyone tomorrow!

How I do my meetings is from 10-4 we have 8-10 make & takes, usually using product from the most current mini catalog - this time the Holiday mini.  (You should be receiving yours in your mailbox any day!)  From 12-1 we have a business meeting.  Everyone brings their lunch and we go over business topics, share business ideas, reward, recognize and have door prizes.  This schedule allows for demonstrators to come early or late and leave early or late, but everyone is there for the meeting.  Lots of samples and ideas shared and friendships renewed.  Each demonstrator brings their own scissors, adhesive and camera!

Sweet Scoops - gone soon!

Don't you love the little guy with the party hat?  Nancy F. made it for our swap with the Sweet scoops set from the Summer Mini.   The fathers day card using the square texture stamp from the same set is really simple but cool.  Remember the Summer Mini ends August 31 and this set will be gone!

This card is made with Watercolor Trio, one of the stamp sets from the Summer Mini.

The little green tag that peeks out is from the Big Shot Matchbox Die.

It is a really simple set with a number of great sentiments.  REmember you only have until August 31 to order items from the Summer Mini that weren't carried over to the 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.

Workshop? Class? Private Event?

The other day I had a group of ladies over for a private class they had scheduled.  These ladies have been coming  2-3 times a year for a long time.  It is so much fun to spend time with them.  They are very creative and very talented.  In fact they almost always make small adjustments to the projects.

 

These were our projects.  They had requested a card with the Blissful Bride from the Summer Mini, something to do with the Bird punch they had all bought and smooch spritz.  I totally meet their requests.  The also have an aversion to the Big Shot - they don't want to start on something new but every time they send me their requests the accidentally request something Big shot.  This time they asked for one of the embossing folders.  I included that in a couple of cards but not necessary.

Here are some close-ups of the cards:

 

The Bird punch request was easy - tulips!  I was really pleased with the stylized tulips.  These are made with the bird wing punch and then use mini glue dots to attache to each other to give some dimension.  Don't you love the color combination of Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.  I can't get enough of the antique brads.

I used one of the Daffodil Delight sheets from Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper.

 

By stamping the cake 3 times and cutting out each layer and stacking them the cake looks really cool.  Add some pearls and what could be cuter.  If you notice a used part of a cut apart embossing folder along the edge and then  sprayed with Silver Smooch Spritz.

 

This card had them a little bit intimidated.  I told them  to punch out a bunch of pieces, spray with smooch spritz and then make little spit balls.  It didn't completely mater what pieces.  They had a hard time just doing it and by trying to copy the flowers exactly created more stress.  After they each finished they realized I was right.  If you want to do flowers like this  just use scraps and make spit balls. You need to moisten the paper which is best done with alcohol - smooch spritz.  The idea for this card comes from the cover of the Stampin' Up! 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog.   See the journal cover in the upper left hand corner.

Summer Mini

Here is a sample that uses a number of items from the Summer mini.  The Marvelous Stamp is from In A Word.  The little stars come in Itty Bitty Bits which has a great set of coordinating punches and little bitty buttons.  The striped paper is from the Travel Journal paper.  Chari B  did a great job on this!

 

This is one of the cards that Elizabeth P.  shared with us at our last INKERBELLES! Get Together.  She used a stencil and stamped and sponged over it.   Elizabeth is amazing - She won the Stampin' Up! Artisan Award this year! WAHOO!  Only 10 winners and they have to send in a number of samples!  She comes up with amazing things.

Graduation! Lizzie did it!

My daughter Liz graduated from college on Memorial Weekend.  It was quite an event with lots of family for the weekend.  Of course we had to have lots of goodies and such so stay tuned for some fun party and gift ideas.

The weeks before I was  busy putting goodie bags together to have in everyone's hotel rooms when they arrived.  I had bought some fun stuff from the school bookstore.  The funniest was when the lady that worked there showed me the "wrist" pom pom's.  I knew exactly what my sisters would do with them.

They made a great pony tail holder. Susi had it in her hair all weekend.  It made it very easy to find her in crowds.  The tote bags were decorated with fabric flowers cut with the Tropical Island bigz die for the Big shot and ironed on.  Super quick and easy.  

I made everyone fans in case it got too hot.  I used the flower die to make the fabric backgrounds and mounted them on the chipboard books from the Summer mini.  They made a great fan.  The handles I cut with the Two tags die.  The other side I used some clip art and put the school mascot - Wildcat.

 

Using the pennant die as well as the Tropical flower die I made this great no-sew banner that hung in our hospitality room for the weekend.

 

See it on the wall behind Liz and Spencer.  They opened there goodie bags and modeled!  The great rain ponchos were in case it rained (which it did!)  Here is some close ups of the banner.

 

On each of the hotel rooms I put a little picture that I used My Digital studio to make.

Each of the rooms had a different pictures.  The flowers were made with the extra large flower punch.  Everyone at the hotel was impressed.
