Here is a card we made at Simply Stamp Time in February with  the free Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper in the brochure.

The ribbon and brad are another free offering!  I just love the old fashioned look of the card.  The two openings are made with the framelits that came out in the Occasions Mini.  There are actually 6 graduated sizes.  All the little hearts were punched using the Fashionable Hearts embosslit.  Each of them are from a different piece of the paper.  It is hard to tell but each heart has a different texture from the embosslit.

Pleasanton Scrapbook Expo - Framed Art

This framed specimen art style is all the rage in paper crafting.  This one I made in our Twitterpated Designer Series Paper Pallete using a variety of punches and the new framelits!

It is a 12 x 12 page that fits perfectly into a shadow box.  The glass on the box makes it hard to photograph.

Here it is in the frame at the show.  As you can see the glass gives off shadows.

I am doing this frameable art as a class.

Simply Stamp Time - RSVP by tomorrow!

Here is one of the cards that we made last month at Simply Stamp Time as part of our Hearts cards.  I got the idea for this card from a  cello bag topper that Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! CEO and founder, demonstrated at Leadership conference.  I used  the new large framelit heart with the cute scallop edge for the heart.  Then I stamped it with a border from the Bordering on Romance Stamp Set in the Occasions MIni.  If you look closely you can see that I then used the coordinating embossing folder to emboss around the little row of flowers!  TOO COOL!  They all coordinate. We used a square punch to make the little flags of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper .  The littler white heart is made with the embosslit and it cuts out the the heart and embosses it!  Cute happy card!

This was our last heart project.  It was made with our new hearts embosslits.   It cuts and embosses all five of the little hearts at once!  The layered openings were made with the Label Framelits.  Fun little card.  The brad and ribbon and Designer Series Paper are all FREE Sale-A-Bration offerings.

NEXT WEEK!  And believe it or not I have the projects all planned?  What is this world coming to?  I did make & takes and have projects planned the week before an event?  WOW!  I guess I might be finally learning something after 20 years!  Yes, it is still hard to believe that I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 20 years!  Here is a stack of all the catalogs since I began!

Yes, those skinny ones on the right are catalogs!  I am still amazed at how far Stampin' Up! has come.  At my last INKERBELLES! Get Together at my house. (For those of you new to Stampin' Up! Lingo - INKERBELLES! Is the my downline name.)  So every quarter I have a get together for my local Downline and they come do make & takes, (no I don't make those either, I just plan them and they are usually awesome!) we go over business matters, recognize achievements and basically have a good time.  Here are a couple of the make & takes from the get together in January which was focused on the Occasions Mini and Sale-A-Bration.

This is one of the cards they made.  They got to choose which color combination to make it in.  The new cool Labels Framelits make the cool border and opening super simple.  Love the fun pleated ribbon (occasions mini)  The Stamp set is from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set in the  Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  This is one of the items you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase!

 

This card they also had a color choice.   The flower is from the new stamp set Mixed Bunch used with the Blossom punch.  The cool Designer Series Paper is Everyday Enchantment from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure - that's right FREE with a $50 purchase.  The decorative brads in the middle of the flower and the narrow organdy ribbon is another offering in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  The cool thing is that the paper coordinates with the brad and ribbon packet so for $100 you can get the paper, brads and ribbon - FREE!  Notice the little border on the bottom of the layered Designer Series Paper?

Super Cool!  This is made with new Edgelits Dies - Adorning Accents and the Adorning Accents Textured Embossing Folders.  Love the little Detail.

Make & takes

Believe it or not I actually made BOTH make & takes at the San Antonio Regional!  If you follow me on facebook you will have seen a number of comments (some a little disbelieveing!?)  You see, I have a hard time stamping at Stampin' Up! Events!  I know many you are in shock.  That is the best part!  I know!  I am just not so good at it!  I have been known to stamp Make & Takes upside down, on the envelopes and a number of other embarrassing things have happening.  But I did it this time.  Here they are.

I think part of the reason I completed them is that I liked the cards.  The flower on this one is cleverly done with the largest of the three layer doily punch, the second one fromt he same punch and four small hearts.  Stitching around the edge with the white pen was a little bit of challenge for me. Now, how about those large rounded corners?  Well, that is made by sticking the corner into a circle punch from the bottom.  I will try to take a couple of pictures and show you!  But it is the
same idea as how we did the Designer Label in this tutorial.  Like the stem?  There was a stamp on the table but I drew it! Oh well!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have to show you two views of this card because you would not believe that I actually made a spinner card - that worked!  Yes I did!  I will admit that the tangerine tango celebrate you circle was not part of the original design.  I got a finger smudge and that is how I fixed it!  I hope everyone is throughly impressed and if you would like more up to date information on my various adventures please feel free to follow me on facebook.  You can just click the thingy on the side.  Trust me I am not crazy but sometimes entertaining!

Simply Stamp Time

Simply Stamp Time is coming for February.  Monday February 6 through Thursday February 9.  Each Evening from 6:30-9:00,or Tuesday or Wednesday 10 am - 12:30.  Thursday evening is open to younger stampers with participating adults.

Lots of Stampin' Up! Goodies!

Yep, that is what I came home from Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference with!

I didn't even win a Prize Patrol and yet look at all the loot!  I also stayed for the San Antonio Regional where I got some stuff!  But most of it was from Leadership.  What a great reason to attend a Stampin' Up! event.  You do need to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator to attend these events!  The next big one is Convention in Salt Lake City, July 18 -21, 2012.  I am very excited for this one for I will be honored for my 20 years as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

For our Occasions Mini Swap, Elizabeth P.  couldn't wait to get her hands on the Attic Boutique and in particular the Apothecary Art Stamp Set!

Isn't this beautiful?  I started with the same focal image for both cards.  I inked it with Stayz-On white and then daubed on the frost white shimmer paint! OOOH! So pretty, but hard to photograph.  The tulip border is from the Tulip Embossing Folder for the Big shot from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I just used one edge.  The embossed edge of the card base is from another Embossing Folder that I cut apart to use just a section, I then daubed on Frost white shimmer.  Add some crinkled First Edition Designer Series Paper (Occasions Mini) some brads and a cool crown (Occasions Mini)  Love it!

Same focal image and the other part of the tulip frame border I embossed for the first card. I tied some linen thread around to hang the key trinket (Occasions Mini) some more wrinkled First Edition Designer Series Paper and of course a little bling.  Cute Card?

Super Simple and FREE!

Each month I send cards to my demonstrators who are in the top 20 for personal sales, promoted or recruited some new demonstrators into their group!  I usually send around 30-40 cards so they have to be simple!  These were ones I did in the last couple of months.  I just added a quick button for one of the flowers. Sweet Summer - The last of the 36 cards

Yes, we have reached the end!  This is the last of my 36 cards made with the FREE Sale-A-Bration offerings.  You still have until the end of March to get some of this great stuff either by purchasing or having a workshop.

Isn't the little scallop square as a corner accent cute?  And of course glimmer brad!  Adds a subtle glitz.  The You're A Gem sentiment is from the stamp set in the Occasions Mini.  I punched it out with the Decorative Label punch turned on it side.

This card turned out so cute.  I used the Petal Card Double Punch to make the first two layers and then a scalloped circle underneath.  I used a blender pen to give a little highlight to the center of the flower.  The patterned paper is from the Designer Series Patterned Paper Stack in Subtles.  The little key just adds a little cuteness.

Isn't this adorable? I picked the colors based on the colors in the Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper - Concord Crush, Pretty In Pink, Basic Gray and Very Vanilla.  It is a very luxurious look!

I am not a big Owl fan but decided to give it a try.  I stamped the owl in Concord Crush (In color) and then punched out the owl.  I punched the vest and heart in a piece of the Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper.  The large grey scallop  border is made with the Tasteful Trims die for the Big Shot. 

 

Last of Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper

This is the third post of 10 cards made with the Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper and Quick Accents.  If you would like to see the other posts - check it out!

 

To create the layer behind the greeting (Bring on the Cake), I punched two wide ovals and layered them so they showed just a little.  The little borders are some of the paper ribbons from the quick accents sheet.

The Quick Accents sheet had some little colored circles.  I used one to go on the top of the button.  The buttons are actually tempting turquoise but they look cool with the color palette on these cards.

The double pompom trim (Occasions Mini) just sets off the little paper ribbon.

So that is the last of the 10 cards made with the Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper and Quick Accents.  I put out only half of the package and here is what I had left at the end.

The buttons aren't included in the kit but the ones in the bowl are what is left from a package of Designer Buttons Brights.  Remember this was only half a kit and you get everything for FREE with a $50 Stampin' Up! merchandise purchase.  Shop now!

More Bliss!

I am loving the Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla combo - thank you Blueberry Crisp Designer Series Paper for sharing that idea with me.  I frequently get new color combos from the Designer Series Paper combinations.  Love the simple elegance of this card.  The little hangin crown from the Occasions Mini just adds something extra.

This card is just so fluffy!  It is hard to see but I sponged the torn edge of the Blueberry Crisp Designer Series Paper with the Frost White Shimmer paint.  And sprayed a little that I had mixed in a spray hand sanitizer.  Lots of bits and pieces but I think they came together well.  Remember you only have until March 31st to get this stamp set for FREE!

 

Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon and Buttons Part 2

If you have been following my blog you will know I am in the midst of sharing 36 cards I made with the Sale-A-Bration FREE Offerings.  The first Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon and Buttons is here!  Remember the product I am highlighting is available for FREE with a $50 purchase of Stampin' Up! merchandise before March 31.

This card is super simple but oh soo sweet!  I used the Designer Series Pattern Paper Stack in Brights.  It just adds just great texture.  The stamp set is from the Occasions Mini - Bold Blossoms.  I figured out that it looks better if you punch out the flower with the 3/4 inch circle punch and layered it with a dimensional.  The next two cards wouldn't stand up for a picture.  I need to find some sort of cute stand.

The little border I made with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  One of the punches matches the Ice Cream Parlor  Buttons  perfectly.

So Happy For You! Part 2

Petal Cone chopped off! Easier said than done.  I wish I had time to make a tutorial but it isn't that hard once you start.  I used the polka dot embossing folder on the die after I cut out the petal cone.

Makes for cute little trapezoid box.

This card is too fun!  I used the little pennant part of the Petal Cone Die for the Big Shot.  I laid the wide grosgrain ribbon on and ran it through.  You wan to make sure it is pretty straight on the die and gives a cool ravelly look! THe other tails are made with First Edition Designer Series Paper (Occasions Mini), and the Sweet and Sour Specialty Designer Series Paper which has some great raised clear embossing!  The cool half scallop circle is one of the pieces from the Petal Cone Die.  I was trying to figure out what was needed and it was sitting on my work space admist a big mess so I picked it up and loved it.  Who says you want to clean your workspace?  Of course the glimmer brad is just a great touch.  I am going through those now almost as fast as the pearls and rhinestones!

Sweet Summer

I know it is Valentine's Day today but I am not putting up a Valentine's Day Idea since you should have already ordered and made your Valentine's Goodies!  And I know for many of you it is any thing but summer, but this is another Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set that you can get FREE with a $50 purchase of Stampin' Up! Merchandise!

This set is really sweet. 

I made the elongated Decorative Label Punch by punching 2 labels and sticking them on top of each other to the width I needed.  The seam binding I wadded up in my hand before I attached it and they stay wrinkled.  The tulip embossing folder frame gives a nice edge!

To get the little ruffled seam binding, I pulled a thread in the middle and gathered it and then attached it to a piece of sticky strip on the card base.  I like the little hanging crown with the narrow taffeta ribbon and of course the glimmer brad.  It is hard to tell but I used the Smooch Pearlized Accent Paint on the flower centers to give a little dimensionl.  Way cool in person!  The greeting is from the You're A Gem stamp set in the Occasions Mini.

Ice Cream Parlor Buttons & Ribbon

 

So I made 10 cards with the Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon and Button.  I used the Bold Blossom Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini.

This freebie comes with alot of cute little buttons in Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point.  When I went to pick out a color for the card bases I couldn't use Melon Mambo since it is set aside for wedding stuff!  I had already used Pacific Point so by default I went with Daffodil Delight!  I was very pleased with how happy and sunny the samples ended up being!

 

 

I am not sure why this picture is so dark.   The other product I added in was the Designer Series Paper Stack.  This has patterned papers in each of the Brights Colors.  It worked really well with the ribbon and buttons.

This last one was fun to create the different rows of different items.  The button row was fun but the button assortment doesn't have Old Olive so I had to figure out how to include old olive!  I used Itty Bitty Punch Pak to create a couple of the flowers out of the Designer Series Paper.  I thought it gave some great dimension.

Punch Bunch in a Lap Of Luxury

 

For Punch Bunch I went with Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper.  When I need to power stamp - get samples stamped!  I find it easier if I set a specific group of products, paper, or colors to work with.  I have a great studio with all Stampin' Up! Stuff so I could go in any direction but then I don't get stuff done.  I also like to pull out stuff that I haven't worked with for awhile.  So this was a fun new color palette of Concord Crush, Basic Gray and Pretty In Pink.  I really liked out how it worked out.

Isn't this card sweet?  I have to admit I usually cut apart the strips of pearls.  But I was looking for some other simple strip to put behind the focal point on this card and a strip of pearls was perfect. 

The scallop layer is the punch bunch stamped on a piece of the First Edition Designer Series Paper.  When I tried it on Very Vanilla it was too harsh but on the First Edition it just added a little dimension.  And again the strip of pearls just add a little touch.  I guess I am going to be going through the Pearls even faster than I have been! Oh well!

Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper

This FREE Sale-A-Bration offering is amazing.  A package of Designer Series Paper and sheets of coordinating Quick Accents.

These are the ten cards I made and still had stuff left over. I put out half of a package so you can only imagine how many cards you could make!

Remember you have to purchase $50 of merchandise to recieve this free.  To make my cards I added a package of Pacific Point cardstock, Brights Designer Buttons, Daffodil Delight Pompom Trim (Occasions Mini) and a little bit of blink.  To make these Quick Accents come alive you will need quite a few Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used the Bring on the Cake stamp set.

Here are a few of the 10 cards I made.

 

The striped layer is made by layering the various paper ribbons from the Quick Accents sheets.

The ruffle on the bottom is a border from one of the papers.

I decided to go with the Sweet & Sour Designer Series Specialty Paper for this stamp  set.  The colors in this paper are Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie.  The paper has some shiny embossed images which is why it is a specialty paper.  It is really cool!

I have decided the First Edition Designer Series Paper can be used in place of Very Vanilla.  I can't get enough of this paper and since 24 sheets come in a pack it goes a long way.  It is now available in Digital for My Digital Studio which I plan to download soon! So back to the sample. I used ribbon rosettes (Occasions Mini) Glimmer Brads,(Occasions Mini) Designer Brads and trinkets to make the little arrangement around the heart stamp.   I love the little key hanging and a little smooch spritz.

I figured out the trick to the little images in this set is to create a focal image. 

It is hard to tell in the picture but the various scalloped squares use paper that have shiny embossing on them.  The strip for the greeting is from the Petal Cone Die (Occasions Mini)  I love the little Sweet Stitches covered button and of course a layer of First Edition Designer Series Paper.

36 Sale-A-Bration Cards!

That is right.  In the last 3 days I stamped 36 cards using the various FREE items you can get in the Sale-A-Bration  Brochure.  I am out of town most of the next 3 weeks, wedding prep, wedding and post wedding Las Vegas trip with my sisters.  So I am spending the Super Bowl in between commercials posting these great ideas I have come up with.  I have a few other projects I will throw in here and there.  I promise you these cards will make you want these FREE items.

Sale-A-Bration Sweet Summer

This is the card  Elizabeth P, Stampin' Up! Artisan Award Winner, made for our Stampin' Up! Leadership Dinner Swap.  It uses the Sweet Summer Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure that is FREE with a $50 purchase.  Isn't it lovely?  To get the white flowers she used a Whisper White Craft Reinker and Blender Pen.  I can't wait to try it!  The herringbone pattern on the bottom is one of the papers from Love Letters Designer Series Paper.  The little greeting is from the You're A Gem Stamp set in the Occasions Mini.  I have used set that so many times I can't believe it.  The sentiments in it are just too appropriate!  All the little touches Elizabeth adds to a card just make them awesome!

Happy Birthday Adam!

Today is my nephew's birthday!  Happy Birthday Adam!  I am not always the best Aunt.  I forget birthdays and am usually late!  But this year I am going to try to do better!  I actually had this card in the mail earlier this week, so hopefully Adam got in time!  I used the Punch Bunch Stamp Set that is Free in the Sale-A-Bration  Brochure.  Then added the Create a Cupcake set and punch.  The scalloped square in the background is from the Square Duo for the big shot that came out in the Holiday Mini but is on the carry over list.  I realize some people may want a colored cupcake but I like chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing so I had to make that!

This adorable petal cone is made with the new Big Shot Die in the Occasions Mini.  It is super simple and super cute.  I used the Sale-A-Bration FREE stamp set Bliss.  The little flower is from the adornments in the occasions as well as the baja breeze seam binding.

Here is a close-up of the label with the baja breeze cut glass glitter around it.

Isn't it just too sweet?  We made these in Simply Stamp Time last night and today! 

Simply Stamp Time

Isn't this stinkin' cute?  Pennie M. had us do this card at her house the day after Leadership.  Notice the bird and branch.  She was very clever and we punched this out of the Bridesmaid paper and then sponged the appropriate parts in colors.  The textured swirls of the paper create a great texture.  I thought this card was so cute we did it at our recent Demonstrator Get Together and Simply Stamp Time in February.  Everyone thought it was just too clever of an idea.  Thanks Pennie for such a cool idea.
