This lovely stamp set in the Occasions Mini is just sweet. I just finished a lovely piece of framed art for our booth at Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, March 16-17. I will share it on the blog but after the Expo! Trust it is adorable. But in the meantime here are a couple of cards from my downline and swap buddie Dena R.
I just love First Edition (really?!)! the tea cup stamped on top of it just looks so rich. I love how she used the edgelits (Occasions Mini) at the top! and combined it with the coordinating embossing folder. Sometimes I forget things like that - I would only use it on the bottom. The little tag and brad just add great texture.
One of the things I love about Dena's cards is she used bright colors. I would tend toward pastels with this stamp set and yet I love the Popppy Parade on this one! It just makes the card pop. The Framelit adds such a pretty layer! The three little fluffs are doing the punch bunch. I have found I pull this little assortment of three tiny punches out quite frequently. At Simply Stamp Time last month we had a discussion about mailing cards and I pointed out these are a great way to add some texture without extra postage.
