If you love to stamp, but don’t have a lot of free time, like me, Simply Sent is PERFECT for you! I made two cards in about 30 minutes, and they are cute. I love to make my own cards to use creativity and my personal touch, but some days you need a card by tomorrow.

One thing I love about Simply Sent is that any one of any age can make these cards. I have been using these for a long time. These new sets are one of the cutest ones because they use the new colors and the gorgeous satin ribbon we have. I love ribbon and having them pre cut is great! The tags on the cards are already pre punched so all you do is feed it through the tag, or wrap it around the card then tie the ribbon. How much easier then that can you get? I don’t think very.

Here is an up close picture of one of the tags, with a little pearls on them to add an extra girly touch.

So I never thought being with Stampin’ Up for so many years, since I was 2 years old, that Stampin’ Up would think of this. Cookie Press is so cool! If you love Stampin’ Up and love baking, which I love them both, than Cookie Press is for you! My mom told me to order the cookie press, and I was a little skeptical. It seemed a little farfetched to stamp cookies. She raved about it at Convention, which sadly I couldn’t attend, she said how cool, cute and tasty they were!

I got them in the mail and couldn’t wait to make these cookies and play with the press! There are three different presses for the holidays: a heart for Valentine’s Day, a pumpkin for Halloween, and a snowflake for winter and Christmas time. One thing I wish they had were a couple different presses for each holiday so when you made the cookies, there would be some variety on your plate. I’m sure they will come up with that knowing Stampin’ Up! :)

I mainly used the pumpkin press, because its Halloween season. But I tried the other ones out to see what they looked like! I have to say, this is pretty easy and very cute! (Just like my mom said, but don’t tell her she was right :) ) I noticed that you can get a deep image on the cookie, or a slight image depending on the amount you want. I would recommend trying a few different recipes making the cookies. I used the sugar recipe they gave us, which tasted a lot like shortbread. I noticed that the edges of the cookies broke apart and were easily burnt when cooked. I just would recommend using a different recipe and see the difference.

Its Liz again and its card making time!

It is time for the Stampin’ Up Convention again. Sadly, I can’t attend due to work but I wish I could. I have been to a few Conventions, but the past few I have really come to appreciate what you get out of them. My first one I attended, awhile ago, I went for the “show”, Thuryl Bailey, and to make the cards! Last year, I really went to see the new ideas, learn about the changes and special incentives as well as see my mom walk across for making 20,000 in sales!! This year I could have walked across for my 5 year pin, dang!

Well in light of Convention, I wanted to make a card with a stamp set and paper that is from the new Catalog, and not only from the new catalog, but from the Sneak Peak stuff that if you are a demonstrator you can buy before everyone else! Another reason to be a Stampin Up Demonstrator! *Wink Wink* I used the Flirtatious Designer Series Paper and Delicate Doilies stamp set, as well as the In Color Lucky Limeade. I love this stamp set, because it is very girly, but sophisticated at the same time. I started off with a white background for the card, but was not thrilled with it. I really like the Lucky Limeade, so decided to use that for the main paper in the card. Ribbon is one of my favorite things. In high school I wore ribbon in my hair for volleyball, and in school most of the days. I also love the Lace Ribbon punch, so I combined the two. I made a runner with the punch and laced the ribbon through the punch as shown.

 

After stamping the background with Lucky Limeade ink onto Lucky Limeade paper, I needed a saying. I had my boyfriend pick one so he could feel a part of my card! I used the Decorative Label punch to add a little pizzazz to the saying. I used it twice, ones on the whisper white and then again on the Melon Mambo paper that is part of the Doilies paper set. I made it into a label and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it on the page.

This was the point of the card where I was stumped. I thought it was a good card, but needed a little something more. I called my mom and asked her. She advised me to add some pearls to make it get to the next level. So I added some pearls and here is my finished product: Hope you like it! You can order anything on this card from the new catalog! Fathers Day with My Digital Studio

Hey Everyone, its Liz again! It's time for a little blog from me!

So in case you guys forgot, it was Father's Day this past Sunday. My dad always says he never has pictures of me at his work and how I should put something together for his desk. So that is exactly what I did. Sadly, my dad and I don't take many pictures together, so it took awhile to find some pictures.

I decided to put all the few pictures together in a 5x7 card on My Digital Studio. I love black and white frames, but didn't want a dark background on my frame. My mom gave me the idea to make a few pictures sepia tone to give it a cool vibe/feeling. I kept the cutest picture of us big and centered, while making a few others sepia tone. One thing I did notice was that having a big mat around the main picture does make it stick out more. Some people try and put a small mat, but the bigger gives it a little more attention.

While working on My Digital Studio, I got frustrated trying to make everything straight and evenly spaced. I learned that there is a button on the top that looks like 3 papers floating on top of each other. To get something in a line you can play with the different settings to get them in line, or centered or vertically/horizontally on the page. I love that playing around on My Digital Studio is so easy and fun!

My Digital Studio is so easy to use, I've done a few projects on it and have always been so surprised how you can add so many little touches so quickly. I love to add a little interesting touch to things so I decided to put a few antique brads in the bottom corner, and used the stamp set that looks like the brads in the opposite corner.

Once I had finished it all, I decided to get a frame that was in the same sepia tone, I ended with a wood accent frame! I love it and hope you do too!

Here is my dad so happy to get a picture frame with some great pictures of us! He was so happy on the phone when I called him. Now he can't complain about no pictures for me! I love you dad! :)

My daughter's Project

My daughters roommate was turning 21 and Liz wanted to make her something.  I suggested a frame and with a little direction this is what she came up with.  The frame is the basic frame in the Decor Elements catalog.  She put some of the white butterflies all over.  She says there are enough butterflies to do 2 more frames.  Then she put the Dream Decor Elements  over the top and added some pearls.  Here are some close ups.
