It is almost here! 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Idea Catalog

I can't believe on Monday I will get to see the new Stampin' Up! catalog online!  Yeah, for being a demonstrator.  By the end of the week I will have my copy in my hot little hands.  Hopefully in time to read on the plane trip to spend Mother's Day Weekend with my daughter!

Today's samples I am going to share are from my INKERBELLES! Directs Group dinner at Leadership in San Antonio this past January.  We are all getting excited for Convention in Salt Lake City in July.  I have a couple of my directs attending for the first time! WAHOO!

I LOVED this card by my golf buddy and demonstrator Olive.  I even changed it slightly and we made it at Simply Stamp Time.  The Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper is retiring.  I am going to miss it.  But I am excited to see what is in store!  But be sure to get some if you want before it is gone.  Check out the retiring lists before the month ends.

This card was made by Elizabeth P.  I just love her attention to the little details.  I am so glad that First Edition is hanging around.  I was holding my breath awhen I read the retriing list.  I even had a couople of my demonstrators send me emails knowing how relieved I would be.  I don't believe that stamp set made it but be sure to check out the Occasions Mini Catalog Carry Over list to see what will be in the new Stampin' Up!  Catalog so are still available from the Occasions Mini in case you didn't your order in before the end of April.

Simply Stamp Time Valentines!

Last month at Simply Stamp Time we did Valentines cards!  Lots of hearts. 

This card was a copy of a card done my downline and golf buddy Olive.  She made a card exactly like this with a different greeting for our INKERBELLES! Dinner Swap at Leadership.  I changed the greeting since the one she used was from the Holiday Mini.  My Simply Stamp Time Ladies have greeting issues, so I try to be very neutral and when possible put out choices.  Well, this card with the friend greeting started the funnies discussion!  A couple of the ladies were whispering and I asked what was up?  Well, they said this card was too "sexy" for a friend sentiment!  TOO FUNNY!  So they changed their greeting to something else!  It is hard to see in the picture but the black is actually the flocked velvety paper from Mocha Morning.  We have used many of these papers throughout the last few months! It is just lovely!

This card I copied from sample I saw at Leadership in San Antonio. I loved the clean simple lines of it!  The asymmetrical (I know big words!) use of the edgelit was amazing!  You actually cut both pieces together and then shift the top layer.  The three hearts is the heart punch punched in the white layer and then laid on the real red.  At the top you can see the embossed hearts from the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folders too yummy!

Another Swap

This card was made by Mary C. for our Stampin' Up! Convention Swap.  With the In Colors of Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade i just love how the richness of these colors come through.  The stamp set Field Flowers is a Two-Step stamp set.  It comes in 2 layers that you stamp each layer in a different color to create that rich artistic depth.  I really like how Mary combined the polka dot embossing folder with the Tulip frame border.  If you look closely you can see the Friendly Words jumbo wheel that she did in versamark.  Great job Mary.

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I look forward all year to 2 big Stampin' Up! Events - Leadership and Convention.  In October we will be registering for Leadership - it is in San Antonio and I can't wait.  I am planning on going early and playing some golf with one of my golf and stampin' buddies!  At each of these events I host a dinner for my  direct demonstrators and those in my downline who are direct to me.  We also have a swap at these events.  Here are a couple of the cards from the Stampin' Up! Convention this past July.

This card was made by Elizabeth Price.  I love all the detail she puts into a card and cards from her always inspire me!  The stamp set for this card is pretty much my favorite from the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.  And it is a real deal $8.95 in clear mount.  She also uses the Four Frames stamp set that was available during the pre sale last spring and now is available to everyone!  The way she layers the top note die, embossed frame and decorative label is just too cute.  The colors are unusual too -  the 2011-2013 In color Pool Party with soft suede and 2010-2012 In Color Peach Parfait just makes this gorgeous.  Not too mention the lace ribbon border punch.

Speaking of convention, one of the things I do at convention is host a dinner for my direct recruits on the last evening.  It is a lot of fun.  My directs live all over the country and so this is one of the few times a year they see each other and we always laugh and catch up with kids and family and life.  A few years ago we started having a swap.  Here are a couple of cards from this last years swap.

This card is made by Maria G. from Florida.  I just love the cool effect she got with the flower and who doesn't love the fun flowers die.  The Morning Mocha Designer Series Paper is perfect for Maria because she can't start her day with out her coffee!

This card was by Katie M., from Texas.  On a side note she used to babysit my kids when I lived in Texas.  Her and Maria have become good friends and have a group that they room with.  They have turned Convention into a full on girls week and have quite the good time.  Katie's card is adorable with the new Pennant Punch.  So quick and easy to layer up!

Sale-A-Bration Starts Tomorrow! FREE Stampin' Up! Stuff!

Yep, that is right!  Tomorrow is the first day to start ordering Free Sale-A-Bration Stuff!  I will post the brochure first thing in the morning.  In the meantime here is a card we made this past Saturday at my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Get Together using the Bliss set from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure!

I have to admit I copied this card from one Dena R. made for our INKERBELLES! Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Leadership Dinner Swap.  I just made it with Basic Black and add Glimmer paper from the Occasions  Mini instead of Real Red. I just the little touch of crochet trim!  Good job, Dena.

Dinner Swaps

I beginning to think I might have to change this blog name to Nancy F. Creates!  I have been posting so many of her cards lately!  But here is another one!

Nancy did this for our demonstrator dinner swap at Stampin' Up! Convention this past year.  I love th colors and crisp simple layout.  While you read this I will be traveling to Nashville for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference!  WAHOO!  I can't wait to see my demonstrator friends.  My direct demonstrators will be having a swap again so check back for these fabulous swaps.

Demonstrator Dinner Swaps

I found these samples and realized I hadn't shared all of them with you.  These are from the dinner I hosted at convention for my direct recruits.  Each year we have one and we have started having a swap.

This one was done by Pennie M. she watercolors so beautifully.  I love the big shot textured piece that she just inked the highlights of.

Julie B. did a great job with the monochromatic of this lovely card.

More Inkerbelles! Dinner Swaps

 

This was our (me and my daughter Elizabeth) swap.  My daughter Liz was a big help when she was home this summer and helped me get alot of stuff done.  One morning I said we need a swap for convention and we went through some cards and found one she liked and changed it to new catalog stuff.  This was the card.  I went out for the day and came back and she had them all done! I guess growing up around Stampin' Up! stuff sinks in.  This card is made with the new Paper Stack of Designer Series Paper.  That meant that we made an assortment of colors from one of the Stacks.  Here is one in another color.

 

I just love this card.  This is also one of my favorite folds.

The big daisy is made with the Big Shot Die.  Katie is one of my demonstrators from when I lived in Texas.  She also used to babysit my kids.  It was pretty fun for her and Liz to see each other.

 

It was so much fun having Liz at convention with me. 

Stampin' Up! Inkerbelles! Convention Dinner

Each year at the Stampin' Up! Convention I host a dinner for my first level downline.  As any good Stampin' Up! event should we had a swap.  

This was the card that Dena R. made for our swap.  Dena had a great year - she earned the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip - a cruise to Alaska for 2! and Founder's Circle by being in the top 100 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators!  Congrats Dena!  You rock!

 

This was Elizabeth P. card.  Isn't it lovely?  Elizabeth also had a great year - she was awarded a Stampin' Artisan Award!  This is an award based solely on creative entries that you send in to the company.  She won a $500 shopping spree, $500 in cash and the best part was dinner with Shelli and Brent and the other Artisan winners.  It was a lovely evening.

 

This card was made by Jennifer B. She is one of my downline who has no upline between me and her so she joined us.  She also earned the cruise!  This

Bird Punch

This is the last card from our INKERBELLES! Leadership Dinner Swap.  Julie B  made this one.  The bird punch was not one of my favorites and in fact was not on my first order from the Occasions Mini.  But the more samples I have seen with it, I finally had to buy it.  It is quite cute and creates some great items.  You can tell that the card shimmers in the background.  Stay tuned in an upcoming post will be a Stampin' Up! Video on how to do that, plus I am pretty sure we will be doing this technique at Simply Stamp Time in March.

Chocolate Bunny - with no calories!

Isn't this bunny the cutest?  He just makes you want to eat him.  I especially love the way Elizabeth P. layered the ribbons.  The layers and bright cheery colors just make this card so happy.  The Happy Easter sentiment is from the Well Scripted stamp set in the Occasions Mini.  Check back in a few days to see a really cute Chocolate Bunny card we made at our Demonstrator Get Together and at Simply Stamp Time.

More Sweet Peas!

I know enough with the Sweet Peas - but they are too stinkin cute and make a quick focal point for a card.  This card was made by Dena R. for our INKERBELLES! Leadership Dinner swap.  While I LOVE the use of Sweet Peas from our Occasions Mini, the feature that caught my eye on this card was the vellum layer under the Sweet Pea.  Dena stamped it in craft white ink, with the Happy Birthday from Well Scripted and a little tiny happy creating a background.  The vellum combined with the kraft and chocolate chip makes a cool look.

This is the card I made for the Inkerbelles! Dinner exchange at Stampin' Up!'s leadership.  I loved the bright combination of Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo.  Using the movers & shapers heart to punch out the heart really added some contrast.  I got the idea for this card on the internet somewhere - sorry I can't remember where.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Sweet Pea stack. The scalloped border punch is free offering with Sale-A-Bration.

The Sweet Peas though made it really pop!  These little cuties just add a nice touch of texture and depth.  The pink satin ribbon is also new in the Occasions Mini.

Soft Suede & Brushed Gold

I just loved this combination when I saw it.  Brushed golf and Soft Suede made just such a rich look - perfect for an anniversary.  Chris V.,  one of my downline, made this card for our card exchange at the Inkerbelles! Dinner at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership.  She used the new embosslit with the heart and the embossing dotted folder.  The greeting is from the new greeting set,Well Scripted, in the Occasions Mini. 

Leadership Swap

One of the favorite parts of Leadership is when I get together with my directs for dinner.  These are demonstrators that are directly under me.  This past summer at Convention we started a tradition of swapping at these dinners.  Here are a couple of the swaps from the Leadership Dinner.

 

Pennie M.  made this card.  I love the color combination of Crushed Curry and Basic Grey.  I liked this card so much I used it in club the day after I got home.  The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Big Shot Embosslit for the big shot.

 

This card was made by Christine V.  The bird is from the new Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch.  This punch punches the bird, wing and a branch all at once.  I didn't order this punch in my pre-order but after all the awesome samples I saw at Leadership I put it on my first order when I came back.  The hearts are from the Heart of Hearts Embosslit and the border is the Sale-A-Bration scallop punch you can get for free.

These were a few more of the samples from the Convention Dinner Swap. 

While at convention I went to dinner that a couple of my downline had for their groups.  This was the make and take they had for everyone.  I love it that is so simple and easy.  The little tab use of the modern label punch is such a great accent.

More Convention Swaps

 

These are some more swaps from the Convention Dinner with my directs.  I can't remember who made these.  We don't always put names on the back so that once we are done using them as samples they can be donated to Cards for Heroes. 

I like both of these cards for there simplicity.  The brown card uses the set Circle Circus which is just the most versatile set.  I seem to be pulling it out over and over.

Another Convention Swap

 

This was Nancy F.'s swap for the Convention Dinnner.  It is so adorable.  She told us how she did a class where the guests made a bunch of these little dresses.  THe belt is made using that Modern Lable punch - quite the multi use punch.  I love the scallop punch use to create the collar.

This card was made by Dena R. for our convention dinner swap.  I love the elegant simplicity of it. She used the stamp set Pendant Park.  The tree was stamped and then punched with the 1 3/4" punch to create the circle behind the H.  The Elegant Eggplant label uses the awesome Modern Label punch. Awesome card yet way easy!

Convention Swaps

 

Those of you who know me are laughing because you know I don't do Convention Swaps.  This past year I shocked by First Level Downline when I hosted a swap at a dinner I hosted for them!  They were even more surprised when I made a swap!  This card was my swap.  Is uses my favorite new Designer Series Paper - Nouveau Chic.  The Basic Gray and Apricot Appeal are just a stunning combination.  The square medallion is made by taking a 3" square and punching the scallop punch on each side.  Super simple yet a great touch.

This week is the last week to sign as a Demonstrator for $85.  By signing up with me you would be able to attend this dinner and participate in the swap.  You would also be able to attend my downline get-togethers.  We just had one yesterday and 20+ ladies spent the afternoon make samples and learning ways to improve their businesses!  Our next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 12.  I will be sharing the samples from the meeting in the next week or two so check back.

Jennifer, one of my downline, made this cheery card!  At our recent Stampin' Up! Convention I hosted a dinner for my directs and those with no upline in my group - INKERBELLES! For the first time we had a swap. WOW! Wait til you see these cards!  THey were ALL awesome.  I promise they will be going up over the next few weeks!  It was a unanimous vote to have this be part of our dinners at Leadership and Convention!

I just loved how Jennifer used the Crushed Curry and Melon Mango In-Colors they are just happy.  In the starter kit you would receive the paper, stamp pad & inks.  Jennifer added a cute brad and used punches and the white gel pen.  YOu would be able to purchase these on your first order which you would get a 30% discount!

At Convention, Stampin' Up! gave attendees a challenge.  If as a whole the 3000 attendees recruited 3000 new demonstrators by the end of August, those in attendance would receive a FREE My Digital Studio when it is released.  This is an awesome challenge and reward.  You will see many demonstrators offering many extras.  PLEASE be sure to find the demonstrator who will be your upline, the person who trains and supports you, that feels like a good fit!  Do some research and ask questions.
