I apologize for the few and far between posts.  This month is crazy with family things going on.  We just got back from a Mother's Day Weekend trip to see my Daughter and watch her coach her volleyball team, spent mother's day golfing and flew back on Monday.  Thursday I leave to drive to Northern California to spend the weekend with my family - my German relatives are coming.  I come back Sunday and leave on Wednesday for an Alaskan cruise for my Husbands 60th birthday! WHEW!  But the cool thing is I can keep working which is the joy of having done this business for 20+ years.

Summer Smooches Window Decorations

If you visited our booth at the Scrapbook Expo, you saw the great garlands atop the booth.  They made such a festive air.  I wanted to figure out where I could do that home.  If my husband knew how many ideas like this I have he would be scared to come home at night.  I have a very large window in my stamp studio with just plain blinds, no colorful window treatment so I decided that was what I was going to do.  I wanted to use something bright and new in the upcoming 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog (yes, I did look at online and it is AMAZING!).  I chose the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper.

Isn't it just happy?  Here are a couple of close ups.

I was so impressed with these garlands that Elizabeth P. had created from an inspiration on Pinterest, I wanted to share them with my downline.  Each month I send my directs a project and some materials to inspire them.  This past month I made each of them a little banner  with Summer Smooches.  I cut the paper with the Circles #2 die and cut assortment of papers so that they each received a garland using the equivalent of 1 sheet of paper but with assorted colors.  When I was done I had scraps that I punched with 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circles.  I used 3 packs of paper for the original garlands and the scraps were all I used for my window.  It is amazing how far it goes.  All you do is run it through the sewing machine.  If you want them spaced out more pull the circle through a little and if you want them close just feed them in.   You really have to see it to see how cute it is!

OK, back to the new catalog.  It is amazing and wonderful.  I did just stamp 2 cards with some of my fun new supplies.  LOVE THEM!  I will have them going up this coming week.  I like to have the people I make cards for recieve them before you guys get to see them.  Sorry.

It is almost here! 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Idea Catalog

I can't believe on Monday I will get to see the new Stampin' Up! catalog online!  Yeah, for being a demonstrator.  By the end of the week I will have my copy in my hot little hands.  Hopefully in time to read on the plane trip to spend Mother's Day Weekend with my daughter!

Today's samples I am going to share are from my INKERBELLES! Directs Group dinner at Leadership in San Antonio this past January.  We are all getting excited for Convention in Salt Lake City in July.  I have a couple of my directs attending for the first time! WAHOO!

I LOVED this card by my golf buddy and demonstrator Olive.  I even changed it slightly and we made it at Simply Stamp Time.  The Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper is retiring.  I am going to miss it.  But I am excited to see what is in store!  But be sure to get some if you want before it is gone.  Check out the retiring lists before the month ends.

This card was made by Elizabeth P.  I just love her attention to the little details.  I am so glad that First Edition is hanging around.  I was holding my breath awhen I read the retriing list.  I even had a couople of my demonstrators send me emails knowing how relieved I would be.  I don't believe that stamp set made it but be sure to check out the Occasions Mini Catalog Carry Over list to see what will be in the new Stampin' Up!  Catalog so are still available from the Occasions Mini in case you didn't your order in before the end of April.

Happy Birthday Summer Smooches

OK, Here is a Happy Birthday Card with Summer Smooches.  I combined it with an unsual stamp set - You're My Type, from the Occasions Mini.  It is the birthday card for a daughter of a friend who is a brand new lawyer.  I thought it would be fun and I hadn't even inked the stamp set.  Shame!

I thought it turned out a happy little card.  The fabric buttons are just too stinking cute.  The lucky limeade bakers twine added a nice touch and some texture.  The Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper is a fun grouping of paper.  I love that each of the sheets has one side that is bright and the other side is monochromatic. We are making 2 projects during Simply Stamp Time in April.  They are really stinking cute!

Summer Smooches

I can't believe I finally got to sit down and stamp with the Summer Smooches Sneak Peak Products!  But I had some cards I needed to make so I made myself use this group of products.  As I shared the other day 2 of the cards were sympathy cards!  Here is the second one.

Pretty nice?  This is for a college friend of mine and a girl so I could get a little frilly.  I really like the look of this group of products, but I have to admit it is a jump from the shabby chic I have been doing and which is really more of my style.  But once I set down and started playing with it I like it! 

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator when I start to work on projects I tend to think of what I need to show customers even when stamping for my personal needs.  When I have this need I set out on my table the coordinating products and that is all I use!  Try it!  You will be amazed at how creative you become when you set some boundaries.  I also find that I am more productive.

The card above uses the Bright Blossoms Stamp set and Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper.  The fabric covered button is only available during April as well as the stencil.  They will not be in the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog as the rest of the Summer Smooches Sneak wil be.

Summer Smooches Sympathy

This is called double tasking!  I felt like you all would like to see some cute samples with the Summer Smooches Suite of Products and I needed to send a couple of sympathy cards.  HMMM?  Doesn't quite seem like a match.  But I always try to teach my customers and demonstrators how to work with what they have.  So I decided to give it a try.  To make it even harder one of the sympathy cards is for a husband of a demonstrator friend!

How did I do?  I used the Loving Thoughts stamp set from the Occasions Mini for the greeting.  This set has alot of great words.  The images are from the Bright Blossoms Set that is currently available through the Summer Smooches Sneak Peak.  The Island Indigo and Pool Party combination I thought took it to a more manly look.  The Designer Series Paper is part of the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper Pack.

Summer Smooches and Simply Stamp Time

Today, starts the special Summer Smooches.  Stampin' Up! is offering an assortment of product as a sneak preview from the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog.  These products are part of the Summer Smooches Suite.  Almost everything being offered will be in the catalog but not the cute Fabric covered buttons and stencil.  You can order any (or all!) of these products during April. 

During the April Simply Stamp Time we will be making 2 of our 4 projects using product from this offering - yes, including the cute fabric buttons!

I copied the basic idea for this from a project I saw on Pinterest.  Basiclly I loved the Cherry Cobbler Butterfly over the First Edition Butterfly over the circle opening with the diagonal score.  The rest I changed!  Everyone loved this card!

Tomorrow is the Last day of Sale-A-Bration

Yep - Tomorrow Saturday March 31 is the last day to get your free stuff from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. 

Here is a card we made at Simply Stamp Time in February with  the free Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper in the brochure.

The ribbon and brad are another free offering!  I just love the old fashioned look of the card.  The two openings are made with the framelits that came out in the Occasions Mini.  There are actually 6 graduated sizes.  All the little hearts were punched using the Fashionable Hearts embosslit.  Each of them are from a different piece of the paper.  It is hard to tell but each heart has a different texture from the embosslit.

Julie B. made this card for our Occasions Mini Swap.  I love how she made the embossed edge to match the edgelit cut edge.    This is a super simple card that elegant line just makes it look like so much more.  The flower uses the Blossom Punch and Mixed Bunch Stamp Set fromt he Occasions Mini.  The brad is also one of the free offerings in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  The brads come in an assortment with ribbon that coordinatees with the paper.  Everyday Enchantment Paper and the Brads and Ribbon offering are Sale-A-Bration exclusives so they will go away on saturday not to be seen again!

Pleasanton Scrapbook Expo Booth

I was in charge of the Twitterpated part of the booth.  You may wonder what it takes to pull together the booth.  Well, it takes a creative mind in the person of Elizabeth Price.  We have usually worked out of one of the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogs - this naturally narrows down the selection and gives us a piece of literature to hand out to everyone that is cost effective.  Each of us is assigned a group of products to work with.  We discuss what types of projects we think would look good in that product suite.  We surf the web a lot for ideas we can transfer to Stampin' Up! Products.

One of the hot items in papercrafting right now is shadow boxes and specimen art.  I did a few shadow boxes for the booth.

This shadow box was part of our wedding tableau that highlighted our My Digital Studio Progam.  More about this area in a later post.  I made this shadow box using the pictures of my son's wedding.  For those of you who have seen some of the stuff I did for his wedding (click wedding in the categories on the right)  you will know these were not their colors but they worked.  This box took me just a little it of time.  I used a variety of products from the Twitterpated Product Suite in the Occasions  Mini.  I thought it looked lovely.

 

 

 

 

This shadow box I did for my Daughter.  Pink is our color.  I printed the picture using an embellishement from the Downtown Grunge Template download for My Digital Studio.  Again this took me no time at all but how fun and some great memories!

Haven't decided if I am giving this to her but if she reads my blog and asks I might say yes!

 The other two shadow boxes I did were in the specimen art style.  One I did with the Tea Shoppe stamp set which is also in the Occasions Mini but not really in any of the "suites."

I did cut apart the triple tea cup stamp so that I could easily stamp each of the cups seperately and punch them out easiily. Here are some details of each of the cup styles and the label.  You can click on them to make them larger!

Pleasanton Scrapbook Expo - Framed Art

This framed specimen art style is all the rage in paper crafting.  This one I made in our Twitterpated Designer Series Paper Pallete using a variety of punches and the new framelits!

It is a 12 x 12 page that fits perfectly into a shadow box.  The glass on the box makes it hard to photograph.

Here it is in the frame at the show.  As you can see the glass gives off shadows.

I am doing this frameable art as a class.

Simply Stamp Time - RSVP by tomorrow!

Here is one of the cards that we made last month at Simply Stamp Time as part of our Hearts cards.  I got the idea for this card from a  cello bag topper that Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! CEO and founder, demonstrated at Leadership conference.  I used  the new large framelit heart with the cute scallop edge for the heart.  Then I stamped it with a border from the Bordering on Romance Stamp Set in the Occasions MIni.  If you look closely you can see that I then used the coordinating embossing folder to emboss around the little row of flowers!  TOO COOL!  They all coordinate. We used a square punch to make the little flags of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper .  The littler white heart is made with the embosslit and it cuts out the the heart and embosses it!  Cute happy card!

This was our last heart project.  It was made with our new hearts embosslits.   It cuts and embosses all five of the little hearts at once!  The layered openings were made with the Label Framelits.  Fun little card.  The brad and ribbon and Designer Series Paper are all FREE Sale-A-Bration offerings.

Simply Stamp Time Valentines!

Last month at Simply Stamp Time we did Valentines cards!  Lots of hearts. 

This card was a copy of a card done my downline and golf buddy Olive.  She made a card exactly like this with a different greeting for our INKERBELLES! Dinner Swap at Leadership.  I changed the greeting since the one she used was from the Holiday Mini.  My Simply Stamp Time Ladies have greeting issues, so I try to be very neutral and when possible put out choices.  Well, this card with the friend greeting started the funnies discussion!  A couple of the ladies were whispering and I asked what was up?  Well, they said this card was too "sexy" for a friend sentiment!  TOO FUNNY!  So they changed their greeting to something else!  It is hard to see in the picture but the black is actually the flocked velvety paper from Mocha Morning.  We have used many of these papers throughout the last few months! It is just lovely!

This card I copied from sample I saw at Leadership in San Antonio. I loved the clean simple lines of it!  The asymmetrical (I know big words!) use of the edgelit was amazing!  You actually cut both pieces together and then shift the top layer.  The three hearts is the heart punch punched in the white layer and then laid on the real red.  At the top you can see the embossed hearts from the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folders too yummy!

Happy Birthday Louis

Today is my nephews birthday.  It was pretty cool last year at the wedding - it was kind like a weekend long celebration of his birthday as well.  The day after the wedding their family went out sailing!

Here is the card I sent him.  I just love these little mazes from the Occasions Mini.

I wasn't too sure about them at first but they are definitely a fun addition to cards.

Happy Anniversary Chris & Emily

A year ago today we were celebrating my son's wedding!  What a day!  It was a weekend of fun, family and friends and a lovely celebration of Chris & Emily!  Just what a wedding should be.  You can see some of the fun things I did for the wedding here.

I sent an anniversary card to them.  Chris is still in Kuwait but I know Emily will save it to show him when he gets back (hopefully next month).

I saw this idea with a heart punch somewhere and thought how gorgeous.  Using the negative of a punch is such a cool look.  I ran the layer through the Big Shot with the polka dot embossing folder and put pink striped Designer Series Paper from the stacks underneath.  A little tag and a center on one flower and you have a simple quick card.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes - my go to greeting set and great because you know they all fit in the word window punch which layers lovely with the modern label punch.  Here is a close up.

The little organdy ribbon frosting I think just gives it a little softness.

Samples, Samples, Samples

This past week at Simply Stamp Time, at each session someone picked this card out of the basket of samples.

Pennie M.  made this card for our INKERBELLES! dinner swap at Leadership in San Antonio.  The  main image from the new Apothecary suite in the Occasions Mini is stamped on vellum then she colored on the back and mounted it on a piece of whisperwhite.  The Framelits make it really east to create beautiful layers and by coloring on the back of the vellum it gives a frosted glass look.  I promised everyone we would do this technique at March Simply Stamp Time.

It always entertains me to see which samples catch peoples eye from my basket of samples.  In between cards and before or after people at Stamp Time love to look at samples and poke around the craft room at the various samples and projects.  Right now there are a lot of things in progress as I get ready for the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, March 16 & 17.

Buy a Card? Really?

Today after Simply Stamp Time, I called my friend(who shall remain nameless) to see if she wanted to go get lunch.  You see, on Tuesday Cheesecake factory has the most fabulous mushroom soup.  We try to go to lunch their together every so often!  It is awesome.  So after lunch we go to Target to pick up a few things - including Valentine candy!  While in that section "my friend"  stoops down and says "I need Valentine cards!"  REALLY?  It is a good thing she is a good friend!  I told her how we had 4 cute cards we were  making for Valentines!  Well, she immediately recognized her faux paus!  We came home and she made the cards we were making for Simply Stamp Time.  None of the cards were appropriate for her grown son so I made this idea up for copying from another card I have done and changing the colors.

This card uses the Maze in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It is quick and simple with fun little sayings and things to do.  The maze is easy to attach.  The scallop peeking out is the larger scallop from the Pennant die for the Big Shot.  I thought it was a cute quick card.  I made one with her that I will use for one of my boys for Valentines.

While she was making these, she asks "Can we make a birthday card for ?(a friend of hers)" (How many cards is she buying? HMMM!)  I said sure and of course it was a mans card - always a challenge.  But here is what I threw together!

Pretty cool for quick and fast.  Love the Morning Mocha for manly cards!  Plus some glimmer brads always add a little masculine bling.  I ran the First Edition through the Big Shot in the striped folder and it added some cool texture and distressed it a little bit.

Ok, so my friend I hope has learned her lesson!  And please if you are not a stamper but friends with a stamper and going to buy a card at least do it on the sly - not with your stamping friend!

Simply Stamp Time

NEXT WEEK!  And believe it or not I have the projects all planned?  What is this world coming to?  I did make & takes and have projects planned the week before an event?  WOW!  I guess I might be finally learning something after 20 years!  Yes, it is still hard to believe that I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 20 years!  Here is a stack of all the catalogs since I began!

Yes, those skinny ones on the right are catalogs!  I am still amazed at how far Stampin' Up! has come.  At my last INKERBELLES! Get Together at my house. (For those of you new to Stampin' Up! Lingo - INKERBELLES! Is the my downline name.)  So every quarter I have a get together for my local Downline and they come do make & takes, (no I don't make those either, I just plan them and they are usually awesome!) we go over business matters, recognize achievements and basically have a good time.  Here are a couple of the make & takes from the get together in January which was focused on the Occasions Mini and Sale-A-Bration.

This is one of the cards they made.  They got to choose which color combination to make it in.  The new cool Labels Framelits make the cool border and opening super simple.  Love the fun pleated ribbon (occasions mini)  The Stamp set is from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set in the  Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  This is one of the items you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase!

 

This card they also had a color choice.   The flower is from the new stamp set Mixed Bunch used with the Blossom punch.  The cool Designer Series Paper is Everyday Enchantment from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure - that's right FREE with a $50 purchase.  The decorative brads in the middle of the flower and the narrow organdy ribbon is another offering in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  The cool thing is that the paper coordinates with the brad and ribbon packet so for $100 you can get the paper, brads and ribbon - FREE!  Notice the little border on the bottom of the layered Designer Series Paper?

Super Cool!  This is made with new Edgelits Dies - Adorning Accents and the Adorning Accents Textured Embossing Folders.  Love the little Detail.

Valentines Box

Isn't this just lovely?  My friend Cherie M. made these for her downline at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference. These are the little kraft boxes that are in the Occasions Mini.  They are great for little goodies as gifts.  But when you dress them up like this they make just a great gift!  I love all the little detail!  and it is hard to tell but she covered it with the blushing bride smooch spritz (occasions mini)

I love all the details and pieces!  Great job, Cherie!  I may have to copy these for my Valentines Goodie boxes!

Simply Stamp Time

Simply Stamp Time is coming for February.  Monday February 6 through Thursday February 9.  Each Evening from 6:30-9:00,or Tuesday or Wednesday 10 am - 12:30.  Thursday evening is open to younger stampers with participating adults.

This is a project we made at a past Simply Stamp Time.  We used the Simply Scored tool to make the little pleated skirt. Each session we make 3-4 projects.  Purchase $25 in catalog merchandise as your class fee.  Purchase $50  and you will recieve your choice of Sale-A-Bration offerings FREE!

Apothecary Art

For our Occasions Mini Swap, Elizabeth P.  couldn't wait to get her hands on the Attic Boutique and in particular the Apothecary Art Stamp Set!

This card is so sweet with its little skirt.  The box pleats are super simple to make with our Simply Scored.  Notice the little scalloped border peeking out from under the ribbon?  That is made with the new Adorning Accents Edglit and Embossing folders for the Big Shot!  The lovely label made with the Framelit set just sets it off.  See that narrow lucky limeade organza ribbon?  That is just a little sneak peak of some Sale-A-Bration offerings  you will be able to get free starting January 24, 2012.

Bordering on Romance

As you read this I am traveling to San Antonio, TX for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference.  I can' t wait to see my Stampin' Up! Friends I only get to see at these events and to get inspired. Stampin' UP! always inspires and delights us with ideas and fun times.

Here are some cards using the Bordering on Romance Stamp set from the Occasions Mini.

Lots of new product on this great card!  I used the new Framelits for the Big Shot to make the Blushing Bride and Riding Hood red frames.  I was thrilled to see how well the Designer Label Embossing folder fit so perfectly into the smaller one.  There are 6 framelits in graduated sizes!  The pleated Blushing Bride ribbon is just too yummy.  The raised scallop border is from the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders that is sized to match the images in the Bordering on Romance stamp set.  The little Blushing Bride button is also available in the Occasions Mii!

On this card I used the Frame lit to cut out an opening and then an edge of the framelit to cut the edge on the bottom.  I embossed the line at the top with Adorning Accents embossing folder .  The Designer Series Paper in both of these cards is Twitterpated.

Leadership is coming!

Yep, I can't wait!  Next week is Stampin' Up!'s Annual Leadership Conference.  This is a conference for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators with recruits underneath them.  It is a great mid-year pick me up to get inspired and rejuvenated!  I also get to see Stampin' Up! friends that I only get to see twice a year!  Cherie M. is one of them.  We talk alot and share card ideas.  In fact she participates in our Occasions  Mini Swap.  Here are couple of her samples.

I do believe this is the favorite of her samples!  I love the Adorning Accents Edgelits.  That edge is just so rich!  LOVE IT!  The paper is from the Attic Boutique Product sweet.  The paper is so vintage and yummy.   The stamped image is from P.S. I love you and I love how she hid it under the open heart!  What a lovely card.

Here is another one of her cards.  Again she used the paper from Attic Boutique.  I didn't think I liked the P.S. I love you stamp set but I do love the little simplicity that Cherie used it on her cards.  Here are the rest of her samples.

The scallopy edge is the other edgelit from the Adorning Accents edgelits for your big shot.

Ooh La La!  This elegant card uses the same P.S. I love you stamp set but with the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper.  The little postage stamp tag is just adorable.  Love the embossed stripes in the background.

Stocking Builder Punch - Last Chance!

I am so sorry for the lack of posts.   My husband and I decided at the last minute to take a road trip for the Holidays.  We were originally just flying to spend Christmas with our daughter in Seatle and then decided to drive, go to the Oregon coast and then spend New Year's with my sisters and mom in Northern California.  I thought I would have plenty of time to blog here and there and do some computer work!  Well, that didn't work out so good, between being sick, busy having fun and very limited internet. my computer just went on a trip with us and pretty much did nothing!  I started this post a week ago!  So here it is.  I am also going to add some pictures of some of the Holiday Mini stuff that is going away - today is the last day for the Holiday Mini!

Yep, that is right you only have until January 3, 2012 to order the Stocking Builder Punch.  Stampin' Up! has announced that it will NOT be carried over in the New Idea Book & Catalog and that it is only available until the end of the Holiday Mini.

This cute card was made by Carol C.  one of my downline.  Each month she attends Simply Stamp to get ideas to use in her events.  As one of my direct demonstrators she gets to come for free and she always brings me a few cards she has made!  This past month the other ladies at Simply Stamp Time really enjoyed sharing them!

Bright Hopes

Here is one of my cards I made for my Holiday Mini  Card Exchange.

I just love the cherry cobbler!  The Stamp Set is Brigth Hopes from the Holiday Mini.  The little green layer is actually First Edition Designer Series Paper that I sponged with garden green.  I painted on a little shimmer paint to highlight the tree.

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Incentive

This is the card I sent to direct demonstrators as an incentive last month.  I made it using the cool Peekaboo frame from the Holiday Mini and the Christmas Lodge Stamp Set.  I love the shabby look of it with the pop of cherry cobbler on the doors.  Under the doors it says happy haolidays.

Each month Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are direct to me recieve an incentive if they reach certain goals or are in their first year.  I send a project and some coordinating project.  I try to give them a project they can demonstrate and help increase sales or inspire them.  I have heard from a number of my demonstrators that this card helped them sell the peekaboo Big Shot die!  WOOHOO!  love it and it is such a pretty card.

Trees!

I know I promised to put up my finished project on Thursday or Friday, but I never got to finishing it.  These are the three trees I made a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to make a few more before sharing with you but I figure I had better share these since I am not sure if I am getting the others finished!  Aren't they fun?  I was inspired by a sample in our Stampin' Success magazine that is for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators .  I bought some foam cones and just started creating.  I had to add in some First Edition Designer Series Paper.

For this tree I took a full sheet of First edition and scored at 1/4" on my simply scored.  Then I cut strips of 1 1/2" and 2".  I think I actually used almost 2 full sheets.  I folded the strips and started glueing with hot glue from the bottom up just scrunching them onto the foam tree.  Don't go straight around except for the bottom one.  After I had all the tree covered I took a 2-way glue and put glue on the edges and rolled it in mica flakes.  I just a section at a time.  Then I added a few pearls and rhinestones here and there.

 

 

 

 

 

This Tree I just punched 1 3/8" circles of whisper white, shimmer white and First Edition.  I found they glued on easier by rolling them a little first.  You need to start at the bottom and really overlap to make them stick.  After I had the tree covered I did the 2 way glue and mica treatment but randomly all over.  Then I punched some little glimmer paper flowers with the bitty bunch pack, and stuck them around with some pearls in the middle on some of them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the tree that started it all.  It is very similar to the one in Stampin' Success but I added the First Edition.  I had a hard time figuring out how to do it but what finally worked was to make all the layered flowers first.  I used whisper white, shimmer white, silver glimmer and First edition paper( sprayed with some frost white shimmer spray).  I used fun flowers, floral fusion, island floral and blossom party dies.  Then I also punched with the triple doily punch. and various small circle punches.  I textured a number of the bigger flowers with the polka dot and snow burst embossing folders.  I then just started layering the flowers trying to make sure there was some balance of textures, flowers and silver.  You need some big flowers and then some smaller ones toward the top.  Keep in mind there is a fine line when there becomes too much silver glimmer.  I forgot to take a picture of all the flowers.  I then started hot glueing the flowers on the foam tree working again from bottom top.  As I started creating I would then put left over pieces between and underneath.  When I had covered the tree from bottom to top I wend back and stuck pieces into pieces and filled in.  Then I added some pearls and jewels.  I didn't mica flake this one but I am still thinking it might need some shimmer spray.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, I hope you enjoye these beautiful trees!  I have a couple of ideas for a few more but I have Simply Stamp Time this week and need to finish getting ready.

Always Thankful!

Some more pretty cards from Elisa and our Holiday Mini Swap.  The coolest part of the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper is the In-Color Pool Party.  I never would have added that to a fall card but everytime I pull out this paper I LOVE the pool party.  I love the little focal poinst Elisa created in the corner with the triple punch, decorative label punch, circle punch and pearl. Lovely little accent.  Compliments the little punched scallop and pearls.

This is such a great watercolor set - too bad I can't watercolor very good!  I love how she stamped the wheelbarrow on the center of the doily punched from the Big Shot Pennant Die.  Great cars.  I love getting the swap cards in the mail.  Can't wait to do the Occasions Mini!

Gently Falling!

This is a card made by one of my downline Dena R.  She made it for our Holiday Mini swap.  I love how she over stamped the outline of the leaf without lining it up.  The little pieces of pattern look so clean and simple. The greeting is from the very elegant Hand-Penned Holidays also in the Holiday Mini. Here is another card she made.

I love how she created the texture of the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper by roughing it up after cutting it with the terrific trims die for the Big Shot. Isn't the very vanilla velvet ribbon yummy?  Love the clean freshness of the card.
