Shelli Gardner, CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up! has a blog - So Shelli and has creative challenges. I usually don't put anything in them but when I saw it was fabric I was so excited, I had just completed a really cool project that included fabric.
This is a stretched canvas that I painted with some acrylic paint and then sprayed Log Cabin and Gold Glow smooch spray. I don't think I can ever get enough of the smooch spray.
In the corners I used the new stencil from the Holiday Mini and sponged in the corners with Always Artichoke Craft Ink.
Ok now here is a close up up the fabric flowers.
I cut these with the Fancy Flower Folds die for the Big Shot and layered them up and sewed the flowers in the middle with linen thread. The ribbons is the new seam binding. All you do is staple it to the back of the canvas just like we did for the one we made for the Scrapbook Expo - Memory Board
I used the coordinating paper to make the chipboard letters.
I printed the pictures with My Digital Studio to put on but the center card is my actual Holiday Card for 2009. I thought it was cool that it matches.
I hope you liked this project. I am planning a class to make this in November - check back for the date and info. I will probably have an option to do one in the Candy Cane Colors.
